teeth

Jules doesn't sleep much during the night (i was up from 4 to 5:45am this morning) and guess what??? he's about to have his first teeth... poor thing! as if life wasn't hard enough... He's been sleeping in our room for 4 months but we decided it would be better for him to sleep in his room... Being a parent is hard, you have to learn everything!!! We never know what to do to help him go to sleep, i can't let him cry and i know i should sometimes... Anyways... I feel kind of blue because i have to go back to work in 5 days... (i haven't worked in 6 months!!) i feel like Jules isn't ready to be on his own yet... It's too hard! look how cute he is:

Seb and i are leaving tomorrow to go to Moustiers so i wanted to wish you a MERRY CHRISTMAS and HAPPY NEW YEAR since i won't be there to do it on time!

Look what we got for x-mas:(we celebrated x-mas early with seb's family because we're leaving to go and see my folks tomorrow)

the brown top i'm wearing was made by seb's mom i'd wanted it for a long time... Seb got me a ring with JULES name on it and seb's sister a l'Occitane cream that i can make myself!!! And look what i made Seb: i also got him a cook book. We got Jules a Santa outfit... How cute is that? I hadn't had any alcohol in a year so i decided to allow myself a drink... I had a mojito (if you've never heard of it you'll try when you come and see me! it's awesome...)

here is Jules chewing on his blanket (i had actually put it beside his chair but he managed to grab it somehow and started chewing on it...) Yesterday i went to the schools i will work in from january to july, it looks like it'll be ok so i'm kind of excited about going back to work even if it stresses me out!

Wii

hey girl

i don't have wii but seb's sister does so we went to her place the other night and played! it's actually fun but we didn't stay long because Jules wakes me up early in the morning so i want to be able to get up... I haven't told Seb yet but i'm planning on going to my parents for a week or 2 in July with Jules so you're welcome to come and visit then. I wish you could see my place but it's small... Yesterday i got a phone call and now i know i'll work in Aubagne from January to July so i'm VERY happy because i won't be far from Jules...

Jules spent 3 hours with his nanny this morning, i went there to get him but he was asleep so she'll call me when he wakes up. She says it went ok so i'm glad! Anyways, let me know what you think of the new top!

here is the top i made yesterday. I'd tried to make one like this twice but it was never right. Now it's perfect, i love it! what do you think of it? I may make another one soon because seb wants me to make one for his sister for christmas... we'll see...

formula 1

Jules will try to walk before we know it so when we registered for gifts for his birth we thought this would be good, and we were right, he seems to enjoy the ride! Seb is excited he thinks he'll be a formula one pilote...

Louis visiting!

i'm glad you know you have your own blog now! and i'm also glad you like it. Yesterday a girl i worked with last year came to visit me and Jules with her 2 months old baby, he was so tiny compared to Jules it was funny! I'd made him a little present with his name on it (a burping cloth? it's hard to explain it all in English especially when it comes to talking about baby stuff because that's not what we talked about ten years ago when i was learning english...)
It's 6 am right now... Jules woke me up early again... but it's ok, i'll take a nap later. he's chewing on "Mindy the pig..." Here he is "working out"

Cists

We survived!! Jules and i were apart from 10 am to 4 pm and we both made it... I did miss him but spending the day with Vinciane did help a lot! I bought clothes for myself, wool, a costume for Lou for x-mas, a few things for Jules at H&M and Vinciane and i went looking for a cist. You're probably wondering what a cist is... In ancient Greece, a cist was a basket used to carry sacred gifts for the gods. Today, it is a waterproof plastic box (Tupperware™ or similar). It contains some objects of little or no value and has been hidden somewhere. For you, there is nothing to gain but the pleasure of finding it ! There are cists everywhere in the world, even in TN!!! check out the website www.cistes.net and you'll know everything. It's a lot of fun. The box we found was hidden in the wall by the tower. Anyways, i'm sure you'd love to go "cist hunting" and you should because there are more than 500 cists in TN ... maybe we'll go together someday.

hard times

Tomorrow will be the first day i leave Jules... I decided that it was time to get my life back and we both need to get used to being apart... I can't tell you how hard it is... I cried a lot on sunday (probably because he woke me up at 4 am and i was really tired but also because it hurts to think we need to be apart) but anyways, seb's mom has been waiting to have Jules for a whole day for a while now, so i decided to go to Aix-en-Provence where Vinciane lives to do my christmas shopping with her while Jules spends time with his granny...I hope they'll both have a nice day and that i won't be to stressed out. I'll let you know how it goes! (i wish you were here to help me think about something else...)

pregnant

Don't worry i'm not pregnant ( i hope), i just thought i'd put pictures of my pregnancy on here as a way to remember what it was like... I had such an enormous belly at the end... But now that i look back, i liked being pregnant. It's much harder to be a mom!! Jules woke me up at 5 on friday, at 4 on saturday and at 6 today... The lack of sleep is what makes it hard. Other than that i love it. Of course i'm always wondering if what i do is the right thing, but as long as Jules is ok i guess what i do is fine!! I can't wait for you to be pregnant and have a baby!

my cat

today i want to introduce you to my cat, her name is Cannelle (it means cinnamon), she's sweet... She's been getting on my nerves for 3 months now because she doesn't like Jules very much! Seb got her for me for christmas like 5 years ago i think, she was tiny! anyways... Maybe you'll meet her someday!

home made x-mas presents

Here are the presents i have made "with my own two hands" (as ben harper would say), you can see yours, Vinciane's, Allégra's, the scarf under your bag is for my dad, the footprints are Jules, he helped me make holiday cards, the key chain is for my friend Johanna and i'll make her a bag soon too and the black fabric with the big C is for seb's sister, Caroline, it's for her checkbook... the small bottles have sugar in them which i mixed with cinnamon, it's gooood! I'll make more presents and show you when i do!! I hope everybody will enjoy their gift!

Wheat

Today is saint Barbara's day, here in France there is a tradition on that day: we plant wheat seeds and wait til christmas to see if it grows well. If it does it means the harvest (i think that's how you guys say) will be good this year. At least that's what the tradition was about before, now it's just a way to decorate your christmas table! Now you know!!!

Today, Jules and i are going to his nanny's for the first time...I'm a bit worried because he's cute and all but he cries everytime he wants to go to sleep, and i know i can handle it because he's my son (how weird is that?) but i'm afraid she won't be as patient as i am...

Anyways, we wanted to thank you for spoiling Jules... Look at him with one of the toys you got him ( by the way, seb decided to call the little pig Mindy, sorry about that...) and you can't really tell but he's wearing the Tennessee clothes you got him!

Christmas is coming up so Jules and i went to the post office to send your present this afternoon! (i decided to give my friends home made x-mas presents this year i hope you like it)

today is december 1st and i decided to create a new blog JUST 4 YOU! that way you'll know what's going on here in France and you'll actually be able to understand since it won't be in french this time...
